چکیده

The cross section of ee → bb̄ud̄μ−ν̄μ process with a complete set of tree diagrams, 232 diagrams in the unitary gauge, was calculated at the energy range of √ s = 340 500 GeV by using GRACE system. A main contribution to the cross section comes from tt̄ production, where t and t̄ decay into bud̄ and b̄μ−ν̄μ, respectively. It was found that the interference between the diagrams with tt̄ production and those with single-t through WW pair production amounts to 10% at the tt̄ threshold energy region. In the energy region above twice of the top quark mass, more than 95% of the cross section comes from the tt̄ diagrams. Effect of Initial Particle Instability in Muon Collisions

We study μ+μ− collision with production of some state F (for example, F = W+) and (eν̄) system with the effective mass, which is less than muon mass. In this case the momentum k, transferred from μ to eν̄ system (virtual neutrino momentum), can be time–like. The path of integration over k2 goes through the pole at k2 = 0. It gives divergent cross section. This divergence disappears if the finite ...

Top Polarization at a μ + μ − Collider 1

The top quark pairs produced at a polarized muon collider are in a (nearly) pure spin configuration. This result holds for all center-of-mass energies, and is insensitive to the next-to-leading order QCD radiative corrections. The decay products of a polarized top quark show strong angular correlations. We describe an interesting interference effect between the left-handed and longitudinally po...
